About the Science Ambassador Program

The Science Ambassador Program is an exciting opportunity for students to be actively involved in promoting ANU College of Science to prospective students while also gaining valuable professional skills and training.

The role of a Science Ambassador

Ambassadors are selected to represent ANU College of Science for various recruitment events and activities around Australia. This includes College/High School Visits, University Expos, Open Day as well as many other events such as Science Week and Maths Day.

Ambassadors share knowledge with prospective students based on their own experience at ANU and talk to prospective students about living in Canberra, accommodation, university life and the subjects they are studying.

Benefits of being a Science Ambassador

Ambassadors are paid for each recruitment activity attended including associated travel and accommodation costs, receive a certificate of participation and training at the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science as well as gaining valuable work experience in public speaking, interpersonal skills, teamwork and organisational ability.
